Mary turns down William’s proposal, stands up to her mother, starts a career as a governess, and gets her happily ever after.

William interrupts Tom’s mountaintop proposal, gives him news that makes him reconsider the proposal altogether, and almost gets Mary killed.

Mary heads to the Lakes and finds out Tom’s single (!!) but tells him she’s put all hopes and thoughts of marriage from her head. Just as he’s about to try to convince her otherwise, William shows up, soon followed by the Hursts and Caroline Bingley.

William makes an indecent proposal to Mary, who, unbelievably, actually considers it until the Power of Lizzy compels her to come back to her senses. She turns him down, reveals Collins’s sympathetic side, and makes an escape to the Lakes with Aunt and Uncle Gardiner.

Mrs B continues to be horrible, until William shows up at Pemberley and starts showing Mary all kinds of nice attention, which seems to be starting to win Mary around.

Caroline Bingley oozes back onto the scene and sets about trying to tear Mary down, because Caroline’s very much after William, who seems very much interested in Mary.

In episode 4 of The Other Bennet Sister, Mary wavers over whether or not to stay in London, is treated by Tom to a poetry recital in a secret garden, and meets The Willoughby at a games night. She also discovers she's super good at word games.

Mary goes to London to stay with her aunt and uncle, meets a cute boy, makes a new friend, chooses some dresses, and learns to have fun.

Mary tries to get a proposal out of Mr Collins, despite her mother and Charlotte getting in the way, humiliates herself at the Netherfield ball, and has to watch all of her sisters get married and leave.

There's a new Pride and Prejudice adaptation in town, and this time we're following the story of the least-loved Bennet sister: Mary.
